Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency stated it is actually alarmed with regard to the substantial quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The sassa status aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a large quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The company level made for intervention experiences a large inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it hard for that office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to permit the servicing of all consumers and maximize access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
